The ring bearer role is nothing to take lightly. They’re the ones carrying in the most important part of the ceremony … the rings!
Although the children of the bridal party can create the most precious memories and photos, it’s important to know their proper role and responsibilities.

These little guys are in fact little. Anyone over the age of 9 should be considered a junior usher or junior groomsmen. Reserve ring bearing to the babies of the family. Their sole responsibility is to carry in the wedding bands and/or walk the flower girl down the aisle. And obviously, they’re supposed to look absolutely adorable while doing it.

Make sure you think long and hard about what you’d like your “pillow” to be or look like. Nowadays you don’t have to use the traditional pillow to have your rings carried in on. You can also choose from books or boxes as well. But depending on the maturity and responsibility level of your ring bearer, you may want to consider using fake rings and have your Best Man be the caretaker for the day.

The most important part is to make your ring bearer feel special and important. Snap fun photos and make sure he knows that he’s an essential piece of the puzzle.
